Arts Award National Qualification & Work Standard
Equivalent --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The arts award
qualification for each level is recognized and taken seriously by employers, colleges and
universities. Below explains the standard that students will
be working at. Levels 1 & 2 are available to
students aged 14 to 25 and level 3 for students age 16 to 25. All levels hold a recognized National Qualification (NQ) in the following:
Bronze level 1 students work at a GCSE D-G
standard and gain an NQ level 1 Award in the Arts.
Silver level 2 students work at a GCSE A*-C
standard and gain an NQ level 2 Award in the Arts.
Gold level 3 students work at an A level
standard and gain an NQ level 3 Certificate in the Arts.
Each school/college that runs the
arts award for their students gain the following credits: Bronze
level 1 = 6 credits
Silver
level 2 = 10 credits
Gold level
3 = 15 credits and 35 UCAS points
QUALIFICATION & CERTIFICATES IN TWO PARTS
Part 1: Arts Award gives
the recognized qualification for the successful completion for each Arts Award
level. The qualification/awarding body is Trinity College London which is
backed by The Arts Council of England who wrote the arts award program and is supported by the Lottery Fund
Part 2: Blazing Sables
gives our own Bronze Blazer Award, Silver Blazer Certificate and Gold Sable Diploma for practical
skills, ability, knowledge & understanding
